Noot Nadowessi, the middle child to Koda, is the quietest of the three boys, but he is the only one born with abilities. He killed the man who murdered his mother, where he discovered his ability to wield fire, and swears to kill Vala the Mighty—the man who took his father’s life.

Avel Nadowessi, the adopted youngest child to Koda, has always been shrouded in mystery. Found in the woods and fully tattooed as a toddler, Avel’s rough exterior doesn’t seem to match his kind soul. As a young boy who’s skin cannot be pierced, his brothers fight over how to train him in the art of war, but Avel seems to have no interest.

Thornn Nadowessi, the oldest to Koda and blood heir to Callessar, holds no abilities but is rotting with anger. A scar on his eye from when his blood mother tried to kill him as a child, Thornn holds a mix of resentment and love for his younger brothers as he leads them to avenge their father.

Koda Nadowessi, the father of the boys and Chief to Callessar, is a very honorable man among the tribe. Since the War of the Axai, which took Noot’s mother and his true love, he has shielded the tribe from any trade to live out his solitude and train his children in peace.

Vala the Mighty is the son of the God Niros and leader of the occult group, The Modusk. Full of wit, strength, and ambition, he will do anything to make his father proud, and to kill the fabled return of the Axai before he can do any damage to the world.

The sister to Vala and daughter of Niros, Kallis has the unique ability to communicate with the dead and to harness their abilities. She has a sense of multi-personality disorder, yet the personalities are the spirits inside of her.
